Sometimes we need to capture lots of user details during registration process and as a result we got long forms on web page. So the best solution is to break the form into smaller logical section and present it into a multi-step registration form. This type of mult-step registration form always improves usability on web page comparing to very long form.

I will show you how to create WordPress like add tags using Codeigniter and jQuery. This add tags tutorial example is very helpful to implement the multiple tags adding functionality for a blog. In this example, tags are added to the textarea just by “type and press the Enter key”. Codeigniter controller stores tags into the database table and returns response as success or failure message from the controller. As a validation step I have added to check if you have input at least one tag.

Codeigniter controller stores files into the defined location and returns response as success or failure messages from the controller. As a validation step I have added only to check if you have selected a file for uploading or not.

File upload example in Codeigniter 2.1.4. There is file upload class, in Codeigniter, which permits you to upload the file or files. This class also permits you to set various preferences such as destination where the file will be uploaded, restriction on file types, restriction on file size, whether a file name should be encrypted or not, maximum length of the file name etc.

- A form with input type file is required so that user can select the file using the browse button

You can integrate xchart with any server side tehnology but here I will show you how to integrate xchart with Codeigniter framework. This tutorial shows step by step so that we can understand how it happens. It displays the data for site visitors log in line chart. I have also put a calendar for date-picker so that you can pick a custom range of dates and get the visitor statistics in xchart. The calendar has more features like you can select Yesterday, Last One week, Last One month etc. On mouse hover on the line chart you can see the visitors count on a particular date.
